Is it difficult to fit the reverse osmosis unit?
No, it is similar to fitting a washing machine. The system comes with easy to use push fittings.

How much of the water going through the system comes out as pure water?
Approximately 10%. The other water is needed to wash the membrane stopping it from clogging up, and lengthening its life.

How often do the filters need to be changed and how much do they cost?
This depends entirely on the volume of usage as well as other factors such as water pressure and quality. Changing the carbon filter at least every 6 months and the solids filter every 6 weeks will help the membranes last longer. The carbon filter costs around £8 while the solids filter costs around £5. The membranes cost about £90 each. This is only applicable if you are using a reverse osmosis unit. Bags of deionising resin cost around £80.

Will the reverse osmosis system work in very hard water areas?
Yes it will, but we suggest that the water goes through a water softener first if the system is used at high volume. This will help preserve the reverse osmosis membranes.

Do we fit the systems?
We do recommend a fitter that will fit the tank in with a welded cage bolted to the floor, he will also fit the rest of the system in a van or trailer. Otherwise we do supply installation instructions. We are always eager to give advice.
